Are there any states in the United States where two 17 year olds can get married without parental consent?

My best friend and her boyfriend just told me a few days ago they want to get married. I was of course shocked but if this is their decision, i will support them. are there any states where they can get married without either of their parents' consent?Are there any states in the United States where two 17 year olds can get married without parental consent?

Getting married at 17 yrs WILL ONLY LEAD TO DIVORCE in less than 5 yrs.
Why are you getting this involved in their business? If they want so much to get married at this young age, then let them act like the adults that they are pretending to be and do the research themselves.

None whatsoever. If they cant wait until they are 18, then we know that they are 2 impulsive little snots that are heading towards disaster. If they are this impatient now, wait when married life hits them full force in the face.
None. I know you are trying to be supportive, but be a good friend and convince them to wait. Marriage is a lot of work and it takes a lot of things in place to make it work, like jobs, a place to live, stability, respect, etc. At 17 they probably have a lot of love for each other but without those other things it won't work. And that's without throwing a baby into the mix, which will only complicate everything even more.

I sure hope not...no kids that age are mature enough for marriage. They aren't even able to sign a legal contract themselves, until age 18. Even that is too young for marriage...they'll find out in a few years, when they are fighting over who gets what in the divorce.
I doubt that you can find a place because that is waaay to young to get married and you will only end up getting divorced you will grow so much in the next 10 years. I know you dont want to hear or believe that buuut sorry to say its like 95% liklie to happen. Why cant you guys just wait? And do it the right way? And make sure that you two have what it takes to make it work.
