What is it called when two adolescents get married in Royalty?

There is some name I know of one that almost happen about 40 years ago, I think a 9 year old was going to marry into a Royal family with a 7 year old Royal princess. The groom was going to wear a Russian Uniform with medals which upset the Royals because the Russians were declared atheist and do not not follow the Christen patter a few hours before the wedding he canceled because his Royal bride said their family were going to swipe his money into her Royal Family. What is it called when two adolescents get married in Royalty?

I hate to tell you this but there was no Royalty left in Russia 40 years ago....the Romanovs were shot in 1917.

As for the whole supposed marriage business - that would be a betrothal or an arranged marriage. A lot of times, more so centuries ago, these marriage plans did not go through even though they had been planned for say 10 years! With the changing of alliances these marriages would be no longer be favourable if you were marry off your daughter to the enemy - so it was canceled, easily said AND done.

(Middle Ages) As to what another answerer said, just as a side note, you actually could be married at age 12 (sometimes younger), the age of consent was 7 years old and there is a story of a two toddlers aged 2 and 3 being married in Chester, (I believe that was where it took place).

Cheers!
It sounds like a royal uproar to me. There must have been a Royal Imposter, since the Royal Romanov family of Russia was shot by the communists long before this time. This event must have been royally upsetting. Perhaps the jilted Royal Bride or the betrayed imposter Royal Groom eased their pain with Regal tea and toast smeared with Royal jelly.
This story is certainly a bad fiction. A marriage between a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old wouldn't have been legal in the Middle Ages, never mind 40 years ago! Somebody has been telling you fibs.
Russia didn't have a royal family 40 years ago, and its called an Aranged Marriage.
The Russian royal family were executed in 1912 in the revolution.
It's called a marriage of convenience.
