Married couples or soon to be married couples please help!?

Ok, i'm planning on getting married in 2010 or 2011. I have been looking around for the perfect wedding dress for me and I can't find one. I don't want one that has to do with being help up by just your boobs or one that just looks like im a floozy. Please give me so advise or a good sight or catalog to find a dress. Thank you!Married couples or soon to be married couples please help!?
You can get a more modest gown at Bonny (www.bonny.com) or by Googling ';modest wedding dresses'; (http://www.modest-wedding.com/index.html鈥?/a> My SiL felt the same way and we made hers to her specifications: scoop neck, not low, long, a-line, short sleeves, zip if the back, no train, nothing hanging out. It was a beautiful dress, we used ivory Regal satin and beautiful lace for an overlay on the bodice. If you can't find what you want yet, don't panic, you have plenty of time!

Good luck!Married couples or soon to be married couples please help!?
You have plenty of time to research and find that perfect dress! I would suggest you make several appointments at bridal shops near your hometown.

Check out a designers website - they usually have links to help you find a retailer in your area. I'll provide a few for you to get started with!

Take a camera, tissue, snacks and a comfy pair of heels when you try on dresses. Get a friend or one of the ladies at the shop to take a picture of you in each dress. Have someone write down your reactions to seeing yourself in the mirror. Keep all of this in a journal or photo album and review when it's time to make a final decision!

Best of luck and have fun!!!
Many of the dresses are very elegant and beautiful, you just need to find a dress that compliments your body type.

The A-line dresses are my favourite , and I prefer a corset back and it be strapless, my boobs aren't going to be popping out, and they arent the reason the dress stays up, the dresses you arereferringg to are the ones we see celebrities wear on tv or in movies, or a really horrible episode of say yes to the dress.

You just need to invest the time and Energyy to trying on various types of dresses, you can get dresses with straps that sit higher up on your chest, you can get strapless like me that sits higher up
There are a ton of websites and a ton of catalogues for dresses, but really the only way to find the perfect one is to take a day or two, make some fitting appointments at your local bridal boutiques (chain stores and/or small businesses), and try them on. A dress that may look good on a catalogue model may be too tight or too lose on you. Alterations can fix that, but it may take away from the initial shape of the dress and it may not look like what you'd imagined. Do yourself a favor and take time to go try on dress after dress, and eventually you'll find the perfect one for you.
I haven't seen very many wedding dresses that make the bride look like a floozy.

Go to David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, etc. Start trying on dresses and you'll see what types fit your body and style.

Its a little early to start panicking.
To get a better idea of the styles you like, I suggest going to the Kleinfeld's website (just google Kleinfeld's). You can choose so many different alternatives (i.e. sleeves, waist, price) and they show you the dresses. It is great as a starting point.

There were some really great dresses by bonny that caught my eye - - -

Well..I've been kind of the same way...and I have a MAJOR hang up paying more than a few hundred dollars ($1000 is pushing it for me...unless it was THE PERFECT dress...) and also I am not really into wedding dresses. There is either too much going on, to floozy as you say, or not enough coverage. Here are two options I've been using. If you want some nice, the BEST service and without paying too much try:

Now here is another option...and I've been working with both! Some people aren't comfy with buying something online, but I SWEAR by this sweet lady. The woman who runs this site WILL work for you, in every way! She's recently updated the site...and there is something for everyone at VERY decent prices! I promise, if online buying makes you uneasy...send a few e-mails back and forth with her and she will make you feel great about it. She will even find/make a dress just like another one that you want but can't afford. I love her and am actually in the process of buying one from her (as well as from the other site - but you can try on their dresses in various boutiques around the country...)

I promise you, these sites are great. If you need other inspirations, other than major wedding sites these two have been most inspiring to me:

And then if you find a great dress...but you want to cover your shoulders covered or a little something extra you can remove...try searching through this GREAT ';artist boutique'; type site that basically will custom make anything for you if you search for the right person (like say, go to the site an type 'couture capelet') and converse about what you want...not to mention it will be a very fair price for a one of a kind item!

So hope this helps...feel free to contact me again and we can share wedding advice! Good luck!
