Can a married minor enter a contract i TN?

Okay here is the situation

*She is Married

*Graduated HS in 2007

*Has a DL(not intermediate %26amp; Unrestricted)

*Has been living with her husband for over 1yr.

*Has had a steady FT job for 1 1/2yr.

This girl really has her head screwed on tightly and her husband and her are ready to buy a home.

So the Question is will she be able to get a loan/Mortgage with him?Can a married minor enter a contract i TN?
You contradict yourself by stating ';this girl really has her head screwed on'; when getting married at such a young age is about the stupidest thing you can do. And no, being responsible has nothing to do with the law of contracts. You MUST be an adult to enter into a contract, and that means being 18.Can a married minor enter a contract i TN?
No getting married at that young is not the most stupid thing she will ever do. I am sorry that you are so arrogant that you don't realize people mature faster than others. Since asking this question i personally have talked to a lawyer and marriage or a minor is legal emancipation. She got a loan

She can.

The only issue is that, since I doubt she has much of a credit history, she won't be able to ';help'; him in that way. It will probably rely mostly on his history and income, unless her job is top notch (which I doubt at 16 or 17.)
Yes, she can be on the loan/mortgage with him, especially if she is out earning a living too. Marriage is the emancipating factor here.
Those who answered yes, are correct.

Yes, once the minor is married (if legal), he's considered ';emancipated'; and an adult in the eyes of the law.
