If marriage is such a Christian institution that needs to be protected, how come atheists can get married?

Just wondering why Christians aren't fighting against marriage between two atheist people or others with different beliefs, while many forbid two homosexuals from getting married.

Why do you assume marriage is for Christians only, Marriage is for Man and Woman only. Why should we care about atheists getting married. I don't care if homosexual want to get married, its a sin and i hate sin. but what I do care about is when atheists and homo's tell our children it is ok to live a sinful life, and that there is no GOD. Scientist still cant explain and never will about how we were created, and how the earth was formed. And God will never Accept Homosexuality or any other kind of Sin. so that is why Atheists don't want to accept God or the Existence of Our HOLY GOD, because they want to justify living a sinful life.
Because they are hypocrites they don't care that is the point did you know they have the highest divorce rate out of everybody oh and just to pist them off i can now legally marry people.
Marriage has existed since the beginning of time.

There is always a chance of converting a married couple (man and woman) to Christianity that would then be a union recognized by the church.
